Betty Jo “Joby” (Leckermeyer) Moore 79, of Seymour passed away on March 20, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center. Joby was born on August 1, 1944, in Seymour to Edwin and Betty (Carlock) Leckermeyer. On May 1, 1960, she married Richard Chisham, who preceded her in death. Joby was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Joby and Richard built and operated Western Elm Grocery which she sold after Richard’s passing. She retired from Wal Mart in Columbus after 28 years of service. In her younger years, Joby enjoyed bowling. volleyball, and golf. She loved her children and all of her family.

Joby is survived by her son, Rick Chisham; grandchildren: Casey and Jessi; great grandchildren: Shea, Macy, Moses, Kaydee, Hunter, Mason, Serenity, Jaxon, Charlena, Maximus and Ezekiel; great-great grandchildren: Mallory and Harvey. In addition to her parents, and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Morris and grandchildren Carrie and Toni.

Funeral services for Joby will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour with Father Daniel Staublin officiating. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
