Mrs. Betty Marie Schepman, 75 of Seymour, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Lutheran Community Home, surrounded by her family and caregivers.
Betty was born May 22, 1939, in Seymour, the daughter of the late Harry and Frances (Smith) Brandt.
On August 4, 1957, she married the love of her life, Maurice (Dinger) Schepman, who preceded her in death on August 27, 2005.
Betty was a farm wife and homemaker. She faithfully attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. She is survived by her children Joe (Rita) Schepman, Sue (Tony) Nehrt, grandchildren Brad (Erin) Schepman, Leah (Kyle) Musselman, Renee Nehrt and Nick Nehrt (‘Fiance’ Emily Currao), great grandchildren Brinley, Lyla, Morgan Schepman, brother William “Bill” (Sandy) Brandt, sister-in-law Doris (R.K.) Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step father Jack Robbins, her husband of 48 years Dinger Schepman, brother Robert Wayne Brandt, grandson Jonathan Lee Schepman.
Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, Rev, James Rodriguez and Vicar Daniel Merz, officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss Funeral Service, Voss Chapel at 316 N. Chestnut St. on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday after 9 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Family asks that Memorials be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran High School or Parkinson Foundation.
