While living in Indianapolis, she worked at several department stores selling men’s suits. She had an eye for fashion and design and had many creative talents; she enjoyed singing and playing the organ and started violin lessons at the age of 80. She also enjoyed designing floral arrangements, sewing, and quilting. She made beautiful quilts and was very proud to show them to anyone she met. She loved tending to her variety of lilies in her flower garden. She was a tremendous cook and enjoyed making elaborate meals for family and friends. She had a distinct personality and was truly “one of a kind”.
