Brenda K. Jones

Brenda K. Jones, 71 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center.

She was born on October 9, 1944, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late O. Fredrick and Exie (Lowry) Lizenby. On October 10, 1970, in Tennessee, Brenda married Norman Jones who survives.

Brenda retired as an Inserter for the Tribune Newspaper. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved to cook large Thanksgiving Dinner and to travel. Brenda loved to collect little bells and cookbooks.

Brenda is survived by her husband, children, Marti Alexander (Tracy) Neal, Angie (David) Beed, Mary (Bob) Hougland, Beth (Jimmy) Shelton, Steve Jones, Rick Jones, Darren (Alisia) Jones and Sue Jones; 13 grandchildren, Greg, Steven, Michael, Abi, and Alexis, Elizabeth, Derek, Matthew, Casey, Rusty, Courtney, Clinton, Natasha; four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jerry Lizenby and John Lizenby; and a sister, Karen Mains.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rick Lizenby.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday after 10:00 am until time of Tuesday.

Memorial checks may be written to the American Diabetes Association.
