Burton V. Kleber, 93 of Scipio, Indiana, passed away April 6, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center.
He was born January 3, 1923, in Scipio, Indiana, the son of the late George and Ruth (Eveleth) Kleber.
He married Ramona G. Helt on September 11, 1948, at Reddington Christian Church, and she survives.
Mr. Kleber was a member of Reddington Christian Church. He graduated with the Class of 1941 at Scipio High School. After graduating, he was a farmer and worked at Cummins Engine Company where he retired after 35 years. He was a member and officer of Camper and Hikers Camping Group and the CREEK Club. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling in his RV.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ramona, his daughter, Rebecca (Melvin) Vogel, grandchildren, Vincent (Amanda) Vogel, Donna (Matthew) Vojkufka, Kenneth Kleber, and Sara Kleber-Lowery; great-grandchildren, Colton, Hattie, Carol, Joseph, Gabriel, and Kohen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, George Kleber, a granddaughter, Martha Vogel, a sister, Thelma Simmons, and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4 to 8 pm and on Saturday after 9 am until time of service.
Memorial checks may be written to the Reddington Cemetery, Hayden Museum or donor’s choice of charity.
