Cathy Sarah (Ault) Fouts, 68, of North Vernon passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Cathy was born in Bloomington, Indiana on July 7, 1955, to the late James Fremont Ault and Myrtle Lucas Ault. She married her husband, Claude Fouts on September 12, 1974, and he survives. She worked most recently at S&J Vending followed by Central Christian Church of Seymour as a cook.
Claude and Cathy enjoyed a long church ministry together where she was his constant, faithful help. Church was her life, but she also enjoyed gardening, sewing, her birds, fishing, playing the piano, singing in church and being with her family. She was a faithful witness for God. She was known and loved by many and shall be sadly missed.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Claude Fouts; one daughter, Christina Nicole Grey; grandchildren, Cailey Nicole Jones and Ciara Lynn Jones; step grandchildren, Christofer Grey and Tru Grey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle; and her brother, Merrill.
Funeral Services for Cathy will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Seymour Community Church, 1023 N. O’Brien Street, Seymour. Friends and family may call at the church from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will immediately follow at Hayden Cemetery.
Reverend Tim Fouts, nephew, will be officiating the service.
