Ceara June Engel Flatt

Ceara June Engel Flatt, 71 of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born January 9, 1945, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Martin and Naomi June (Hanner) Engel Jerrell.

She married Alvin Flatt on February 20, 1981, in Seymour, Indiana who preceded her in death on December 16, 2008.

Ceara worked as a waitress and was a caring homemaker to her family. She loved anything Elvis, watching wrestling and collecting wrestling memorabilia, and making, collecting and wearing jewelry.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Sue (Timothy) Crail, Andrew Lee Graham, Jr., and Alvin Jonathan (Brenda) Flatt; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her sister, Connie Sue (Melvin) Salmon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February11, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
