Cecil Leroy Kiste, 69 of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Home.
He was born December 18, 1946, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Arthur L. and Bessie (Ross) Kiste.
Cecil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in North Vernon. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. After many years, he retired from being an owner/operator truck driver.
He is survived by his children: Jaime (Shelly B.) Kiste, John (Shelly A.) Kiste, and Elizabeth Kiste; six grandchildren: Ashley, Jacob, Angelita, Solomon, Christopher and Lillian; six great-grandchildren, his brother, Walter (Betty) Kiste, four nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Elizabeth Donnells, four brothers: Carl Kiste, George Donnells, Clarence Kiste, and Hubert Kiste; and a nephew, David E. Kiste.
Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Doyle Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends and family may call at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services on Monday after 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
