Mr. Charles Edward Hunter, Jr., of Franklin, IN passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Franciscan Health of Indianapolis.  He was born on September 29, 1943, in Jennings County, IN the son of the late Charles E. and Ruby (Foster) Hunter, Sr.  He married Eve L. (Tindell) Reveal in July 2011, and she preceded him in death on September 12, 2019.

Charles is survived by his companion, Cheryl Bohnenkamp; one son, Gary Hunter (companion April Overby); two brothers, Michael Horton, and Tony (Rita) Horton; two sisters, Sandra Sue (John) Patscott, and Janet (Paul) Butler; one sister-in-law Pat Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Hunter and Kenneth Horton.

Charles was an avid woodworker and worked as a cabinet maker throughout his life.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening both vegetables and flowers, and antiquing.  He was known for his cooking and for his special lemon drink he would make during dinners with friends and family.  Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.  He was a member of Calvary Nazarene Church in Columbus.

Funeral services for Charles will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Voss and Sons Funeral Home in Seymour with Rev. Paul Blair officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
