Mr. Christ Anastoff, 87, of Carmel, passed away on June 28, 2014 at his home.
Born April 30, 1927, in Gary, IN, he was the son of Alfredita (Vlahoff) and Strati (Steven) Anastoff. He married Thelma “T.J.” Jean Speckner on July 18, 1953, who preceded him in death on August 3, 2004.
Christ served his community as a registered Pharmacist for over 50 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Carmel IN.
He is survived by his children Chris Steven (Roberta) Anastoff, Cynthia Jean (Jerry) Slavey, Charles Francis Anastoff, grandsons: Aaron Joseph (Laura) Slavey, David Andrew Slavey, great grandchildren: Gavin, Cameron, and Savannah; and 6 step grandchildren.
He was a precious father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a loving man and a supportive role model for all he met. He enjoyed long distance swimming and a healthy lifestyle well into his mid 80’s. Christ will be remembered for sharing his life stories and words of wisdom with his family.
Christ was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers: Charles and James Anastoff and sister Cecelia Anastoff.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, IN on Thursday 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan Staublin and Deacon Mike East officiating.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Mass.
Memorials may be written to charity of choice.
