Christi Y. Hamilton

June 19, 1964 - October 24, 2016

Christi Y. Hamilton, 52 of Franklin, Indiana, (formerly of Seymour) passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born June 19, 1964, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of the late William “Junior” Hamilton, Jr. and Mary P. (Oliver) Hamilton who survives.

Christi was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1982. After graduating, she went to work at Valeo Sylvania where she retired after 20 years of service. She then went to Purdue University and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She stayed in contact with friends and family by chatting on Facebook. She enjoyed reading, traveling and watching Colts football.

She is survived by her mother, son, Alex Hamilton, two brothers: Shawn Hamilton and AJ Stidham; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, William “Bill” Hamilton, III.

Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tom Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and Friday after 12:00 pm until time of service.

Memorial checks may be written to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association through Voss & Sons Funeral and Crematory Service, Seymour, Indiana.

Although I never got to meet her personally, we had befriended one another online. She was a great friend to me and was there for me when i needed a shoulder. She will be greatly missed. May you rest in paradise my friend and be a guardian angel to all those you love adore.

Prayers with Alex and family . Grew with chrissy and she was always loving caring friend. Always listed and she also had your back if needed back in the day. Sure was a inspirational soul. May you R.i.p chrissy and fly high friend.

May you always be safe from illness and pain. And know that you raised a wonderful son, who had plenty of friends that you allowed into your home. I'll never forget you or the embarrassing stories you told me about Alex just to watch him blush. He loves you, so I loved you, we all love you. And will cherish your memory. So now you can rest and be with the Lord. And look down with pride at the things you've accomplished like raising an always kind and caring son whom I'm glad to call one of my closest and best friends. We will miss you. Until we meet again. back on. She loved to laugh, she was a terrific dancer, & I don't think she was afraid to try anything new. She just loved her family, her friends, & she loved life. She was so proud of Alex. She will be greatly missed. Mary, Alex, & all..you are in my thoughts & prayers.
