David N. McIntire, age 64, of Seymour, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

David was born on April 4, 1959, in Seymour to the late William “Bill” and Martha L. (Short) McIntire.

David was a 1977 graduate of Seymour High School. He was the owner of McIntire Alarm Company for over 25 years and Mac Attack DJ Service. David was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers. On June 29, 1985, David married Pamela “Pam” Brown at the Trinity United Methodist Church, she survives.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Pamela “Pam” (Brown) McIntire; his children, Bill (Ally) McIntire and Chris (Mallory) McIntire; several nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren, Tucker, Peyton and Sutton McIntire; brother, Steve (Kristy) McIntire; sisters, Jeanne (Curt) Nichols, Tracy (Jim) Rickert, and Linda (Craig) Moore; and brother and sisters-in-law, Cindy (Dale) Moon and Neal Comstock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Boyd and Audrey Brown; nephew, Drew Nichols; and sister-in-law, Sherry Comstock.

Dave was a member of Jaycees, Oktoberfest Board, Seymour School Board, 4-H Council and provided sound for the Jackson County Fair for over 20 years. He was an avid Nascar fan and a very proud Papaw. He was raised a loyal IU Fan and converted to a Purdue Fan later in life when he became a proud FarmHouse Dad and enjoyed visits to Harry’s Chocolate Shop with his boys.

Funeral services for David will be held on Monday, December 18, at 11:00AM at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM and again on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
