Edie Huebner Heist

Edie Huebner (Austin) Heist, 60, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at Schneck Medical Center Friday, April 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 30, 1963, to the late Edward Austin and Rebecca (Samford) Forbes.
Edie had been retired for many years after a long career in manufacturing. Extremely family-oriented, she will be remembered for absolutely adoring all of her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, always there for her children when they needed her. To friends and loved ones, she was kind and generous, the type of person who would give her last dollar to someone in need. Those who knew her best recall her as a fun person, always up to shenanigans. She loved to wear tons of jewelry and big purses. Edie also loved to travel, and the beach was her happy place.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her stepfather, Claude Lee Forbes; her children, Kristen (Robert) Ross, Brittany (Alexander) Chavez, Alex (Natasha Waggoner) Fox, and Joshua Neal Fox; 13 grandchildren, Leilani, Jeremyah, Taylor, Abigail, Brooklyn, Izzy, Madelyn, Brayten, Rielen, Wyatt, Lily, Alexis, London, and one more on the way; brothers, Stephen Forbes and Todd Forbes; and sister, Angela Forbes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; brother, Mike Austin; and her ex-husband and father to her children, Gary Fox. Her children will carry her memory on forever.
