Elmo Leland Rivers, 95, of Seymour passed away on January 6, 2024, at his home following a long illness. He was born on October 15, 1928, in Manning, LA to Ernest Leland and Ruth (Watts) Rivers. Elmo was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an electrician by trade and worked on many industrial projects in the area. In his free time, he loved racing, especially NASCAR and ARCA racing and playing Bingo.
Elm is survived by his wife, Lorene (Edwards) Rivers; sons: Tony Rivers and David Rivers; grandchildren: Renee Rivers, Dylan York and Kaitlyn Rivers. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Delmar Rivers.
