Mrs. Frances Marian Otte Ratliff Hobbs, 76, formerly of Vallonia, passed away September 24, 2014, at Harrison Terrace in Indianapolis IN.
Frances was born in Jackson County on December 16, 1937 to Frank and Amanda (Waldkoetter) Otte. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wegan and attended school at Wegan Lutheran School.
Frances was an active member of the Tampico Baptist Church and spent many years serving as the church hostess for many church meals.
She is survived by her children; Rick (Julie) Ratliff and Timothy L. Radcliffe, grandchildren; Justin (Jennifer) Ratliff, Joshua (Rebekah) Ratliff, Jedidiah (Kylie Hartzler) Ratliff, Riley (Tommy) Day and Logan Radcliffe, great-grandchildren; Layla Ratliff, Sophia Ratliff, Asher Ratliff, Elijah Ratliff, Olivia Grace Ratliff, Liam Curtis Allen Ratliff, Sid Harper Ratliff and Ezekiel Grey Ratliff.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Otis Otte, Marlin “Mike” Otte and Bob Otte, a step-daughter, Kim Hobbs and husband, Nathaniel Hobbs.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Funeral Service, Voss Chapel on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., with Rev Harold Morrow, officiating.
Friends and family may call at Voss Funeral Service on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday after 9 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
Family ask that memorials be made out to the Tampico Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Foundation.
