Frank Lee Klakamp, age 79, of Seymour, was called to his Heavenly home Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born January 3, 1945, in Seymour to the late Frank Lynn Klakamp and Dorothy J. (Easton) Klakamp.
Frank graduated from Shields High School and IUPUI with an engineering degree. He became a plant engineer for Cummins and Spartans for many years before retiring. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Frank enjoyed being around his family, painting, and fixing things. Frank will always be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious smile.
Frank will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Trisha Gros and Lesley Klakamp; grand-daughters, Mimi Gros and Maddie Gros; siblings, Pat Otte and Gary Klakamp; and many nieces and nephews. He was lovingly cared for by the Lutheran Community Home staff.
Frank is proceeded in death by his parents who are listed above and siblings, Dennis Klakamp and Linda Jerome.
Funeral services for Frank will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 1:00 pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour. Rev. Andrew Currao of Redeemer Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, April 9, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and again on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s honor to the Lutheran Community Home or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
