Mrs. Helen S. Ault, 91, of Seymour, passed away December 6, 2014 at Lutheran Community Home.
Born December 26, 1922, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Loyd and Ida Faye (Bennett) Spurgeon.
On October 3, 1944, in Washington D.C., she married Gerald “Keith” Ault who preceded her in death August 9, 2001.
Helen graduated from Freetown High School in 1940 and was a 1942 graduate of Indiana Business School in Columbus, IN. After graduating business school, she was assigned to secretarial work in the War Production Board, Chemical Division in Washington D.C. After returning to Freetown, she then became employed at Cosco, where she worked as a secretary until her retirement in November, 1984. Mrs. Ault was a member of Freetown United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children: Terry (Carla) Ault, Karen Ault; and grandsons: Bryan Ault, Aaron Ault, and Ethan Ault.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Kendra Ault, brothers, Charles “Don” Spurgeon, Larry Spurgeon, and sister, Grace “Laverne” Gredy.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Ison officiating.
Visitation will be held at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Burial will take place at Freetown Cemetery.
Memorials may be written to Freetown Methodist Church, Trinity Lutheran High School or Donor’s Choice.
