Janet Elaine Jarvis

Mrs. Janet Elaine Jarvis, 75, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Janet was born in Seymour on November 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (True) Ewing.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour, where she served as church secretary and was active on many boards and committees. She was soft spoken and very well organized. Janet loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

On March 16, 1963, she married Ronald Jarvis at the First Baptist Church in Seymour and he survives.

Janet will be greatly missed by her husband Ron, daughter: Susan (Mark) Deaton, son: Matt (Michelle) Jarvis, grandchildren: Harlan, Alison, Madison, Aaron, Jaden and Ethan, and sister-in-law Wanda Ewing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Bradley and Gary Ewing, sister in law: Carol Jean Ewing.
Funeral service will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday at 1:30 PM, March 3, with Rev. Larry Tingle, officiating.

Graveside service will be conducted at Vallonia Cemetery following the funeral.

Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday, March 3, from 11:00 AM until time of service.
