Joan Brock

Joan Brock, 82 of Paris Crossing, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at her daughter’s home.

She was born July 1, 1933, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of the late James and Mary Jaynes Trapp.

She married Charles Robert Brock on June 29, 1952, in Seymour, Indiana, and he survives.

Joan was a member of Seymour Christ Temple. She spent her life as a loving homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, gardening and woodworking.

Joan is survived by her husband, her children, Tim (Linda) Brock, Darlene (Kenny) Claycamp, Mark (Beth) Brock, and Tina Smith; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Sally Helmbrecht, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Thomas and Johnny Trapp.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Saturday after 11:00 am until time of service.

To all the family, I am sorry for your loss. Heaven gained a beautiful angel today. She taught me how to crochet. My best memory of her was the love she had for children and grandchildren.
