John William ‘Jack’ Furtado, 68, of Seymour, passed away on January 20, 2023, at his home. Jack was born on January 11, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts to John and Rita (Doran) Furtado. Jack retired after many years of service from Hoosier Christian Village. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish.

Jack is survived by his fiancée’, Connie Bishop; daughters: Kelley (Michael) Rosano-Pacheco, Nicole (Dan) Moody, and Sarah (Anthony) Tanzini; mother, Rita Furtado; nine stepchildren; brothers: Joseph Furtado, Michael (Anne Marie) Furtado, Charles (Junko) Furtado, and Robert (Jill) Furtado; sister, Susan (Scott) Carey; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service for Jack will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Fasha, you will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart!!! You always have!! You were always there for me, whether it was for homework, being disciplined or being a cluts, I was always hurting myself... with no hesitation you were there. My dad!!!!! You took me under your wing, with no questions asked. You can into my life when I was 2 yrs old. Your were my dad from day one. I could not asked for a better man!!! I'm going to miss you so so freaking much.... It warms my heart that I made it to you.. I held your hand, I stood by your side till you took your last breath, I will NEVER forget you I love you more!!?? Now give them hell up there.. and keep your clothes on?
