Joseph Lee Helton, 69, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at his home on December 18, 2023. Joseph was born in Seymour on November 14, 1954, to Clifford and Martha (White) Helton. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. Joseph was the owner/operator of Helton Plumbing in Seymour. He loved his family and friends above all things.
Joseph is survived by his children: Jeremy (Jessica) Helton, John Helton and Melissa (Chess) Ruddick; brother, David (Cheryl) Helton; grandchildren: Brittany. Bethany and Johnathan Engleking, Magnolia and Francesca Helton, and Makenna Helton. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Billy Joe Helton, brothers: Paul and Alvin; sister, Naomi Smith, and granddaughter, Jenna Helton.
Funeral services for Joseph will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Voss & Sons Funeral & Cremation Service, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Burial with military honors will take place in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the funeral home.
