Kenneth “Tom” Howell

January 14, 1939 - January 6, 2015

Mr. Kenneth “Tom” Howell, 75, of Seymour, passed away January 6, 2015 at Schneck Medical Center.

Tom was born Januray 14, 1939, in Bedford, IN to the late Kenneth L. and R. Charlene (Wright) Howell.

On December 23, 1973, in Springfield, Indiana, he married Mary Sue Garrett.

Tom was a graduate of both Oolitic High School and Purdue University. After graduating from Purdue he went to work for Ludwig Engineering in Seymour for many years. Then, eventually retired from Accu-Air Surveys, at Freeman Field. He was very active and enjoyed golfing and bowling with his friends and family. Tom also loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Mary Sue, and children Kenneth Eric Howell, Gale (Steve) Rosberg, and Yonda Gay (Lynn) Darlage. His sister Ann (John) Cummings, 3 grandchildren: Chad (Sadie) Darlage, Nick Darlage, Jacob (Caitlyn) Darlage, and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters Sue Pritchett and Rita Beavers.

A service honoring his life will be at Voss Chapel at 1 pm on Saturday. Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4-8 pm, and Saturday after 12 pm until time of service.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.

Even though I didn't know him for very long, I truly enjoyed spending time with Tom (and Sue) last year. I found Tom's positive attitude and sense of humor to be inspiring. I was so sorry to hear that he had passed. He will be missed. Love and prayers to Sue and family
