Kevin Toppe

July 21, 1949 - April 14, 2015

Mr. Kevin Ray “Cabbage” Toppe, 65 of Seymour, passed away April 14, 2015 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born to Wilma J. (Bobb) and Glenn O. Toppe in Seymour.
He was a mechanic for Fenton Auto Sales for over 25 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown.
He was a sports fanatic. He loved Nascar and was an avid Colts fan. He knew all kinds of sports facts and Trivia. He was a “people person”. He enjoyed working in the yard and he recently created a Facebook page to keep up with all his family and friends from out of town.
He is survived by his mother, 2 sons, James Kevin Toppe and Joseph Edward Toppe, a sister, Sheila D. Toppe, 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Ginny J. Clouse.
There will be a graveside service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.
Memorials may be written to the American Cancer Society thru Voss Funeral Service.

"Cabbage" was an artist in his craft, which made for me while working along side with him, an enjoyable and rewarding experience. He was loyal, dependable, and funny. Laughing continuously, he brought happiness to the store most everyday. He was a good friend, and I will miss him terribly. Goodbye and Godspeed Kevin. We will meet again.

Kevin and I spent a lot of time together during our high school years. He was a special friend and we had a lot fun just hanging out. His family was always so special to me. Wilma and Sheila, you are in my prayers.

My name is elzabeth and my son loved kevin dearly, because my son is nonverbal and cant post this himself I am going to for him. ..... Ben would always steal your hats, socks and shoe strings, you would have to retrieve them from wherever he hid them or wherever they landed. Ben love it when you would take him for rides in your old grey pick up and they way you would rev the engine and let him change gears. He really liked coming over to your apt for mac n cheese and sponge bob. He loves you and will miss you
