LaDonna Kay (Stark) DeZarn

November 16, 1955 - April 22, 2016

Mrs. LaDonna Kay (Stark) DeZarn, 60, of Seymour passed away peacefully at 10:44 am the morning of Friday, April 22, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

Born November 16, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Donald E. “Buck” and Eleanor E. (Brink) Stark both of whom preceded her in death.

On March 9, 1974, in Seymour, she married Woodrow “Woody” DeZarn, Jr. who survives.

A 1974 graduate of Seymour High School, she worked 13 years at Excelo shirt factory. When it closed, she went to work at Wal Mart in Seymour where she worked in the fabrics department as manager until her retirement after 27 years of service.

LaDonna was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour, a member of the Seeker’s Class, voice of praise and Golden Owls at the church. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her Kindle and scenic drives to French Lick.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott W. (Shannon) DeZarn; grandchildren, Scott W. DeZarn, Jr. and Ashley K. DeZarn; sister, Penny (Joe) Kleber; two brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Stark and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday after 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be written to the grandchildren’s education fund.

Ladonna was a very special gal! I have mostly childhood memories of her kindness to me. Penny and I would play together but LaDonna was never far away helping us. As I enjoyed visiting with her from time to time since then, the same kindness was always there. Thanks for giving to others.

Donna you will be greatly missed I'am so glad I got to see you an Woody at the reunion and at the Seymour Car Show. I prayed a lot for you and your family. Woody introduced LaDonna to me when he got married. He would often bring her to Larrisons to eat and visit. I loved to see them and they became a loving part of my life. She will be missed so much! Woody I am so sorry for your loss but I will have beautiful memories of LaDonna forever.

LaDonna was my childhood friend and neighbor. We had lots of fun memories of sleepovers and 4 H activities. Whenever we would see each other at Walmart we would think of something to giggle about! Such a beautiful smile to remember.
