Linda Brown

Linda L. Brown, 66, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday November 22, 2015, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus.

Linda was born on May 12, 1949, in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of the late James and Alice (Chambers) Aikman.

She married Edward E. Brown on February 12, 1969, in Peru, Indiana; he preceded her in death in 1989.

Linda was a graduate of Peru High School. She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech. Linda loved her family, and she loved her job and taking care of people.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Melissa) Brown, and Aaron “Bo” (Margaret) Brown; three grandchildren, Elena Brown, DJ Brown, and Levi Sheley; brother; James Aikman, and sisters, Emma Swindell, Pam Jewell and Cheryl Cox.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A gathering for friends and family in memory of Linda will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Voss Chapel.

Dear family of Linda Brown: Please accept my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on the loss of you're dear loved one. Death is such a tragedy for all of us, and when it touches us personally, it's sometimes difficult to find the comfort that we search for. Our loving Heavenly Father, who is the God of all comfort, feels empathy for those who have lost a loved one in death, and therefore promises to swallow up death forever and eliminate all pain and suffering. Jesus gave even more reason for hope at when he explains: "...all those in the memorial tombs...will come out..."
