Linda Sue (Cross) Poore, 69, of Seymour, passed away at Schneck Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1954, to the late Curtis and Nannie (Ford) Cross.
Linda married Larry Dean Poore in January 1971, and together they enjoyed going to NASCAR races. Linda always loved going for scenic drives. She also enjoyed her houseplants, playing BINGO, and feeding and watching the wild birds in her yard. From her porch seat, she loved to watch people go by, striking up many conversations, as she never knew a stranger. In fact, her family fondly remembers that a quick trip to Wal-Mart might last as much as three hours because she would talk to anyone and everyone. It’s not surprising that Linda always made friends easily wherever she went.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Terry Poore and Susan Schroer, both of Seymour; brothers, Billy (Verna) Cross of Paris Crossing and Tony (Donna) Cross of Seymour; grandchildren, Brad (Rachell) Poore, Diana (Desiree) Adams of Seymour, Mecka Schroer of Seymour, and Landan Lee of Seymour; and one great grandchild, Grady Poore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; her beloved husband Larry; and sister, Barbara Darkis.
