Lloyd Greathouse

Lloyd Greathouse age 90, of Freetown passed away February 26, 2015. Lloyd was born on February 4, 1925 to Ada (Carter) and Ira Greathouse. Lloyd was a World War II veteran. He served as a member of the US Navy. After leaving the service, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Union 181 in Louisville, KY. Lloyd married Ann Howell, and they had two sons. He will always be remembered for being so active throughout his life, and the vibrant stories he would share with his family and friends.

Lloyd is survived by his sons: Terry Greathouse and Gary (Donna) Greathouse. His grandchildren: Michael (Amber) Greathouse, Matt Bruemmer, and Dana Butler, along with 5 great grandchildren.

Lloyd is preceded by both his parents, his wife, and one sister Beulah Greathouse.

Funeral services for Lloyd will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 1 pm at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Freetown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Monday, March 2, 2015, and Tuesday 12 noon until the time of service. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
