Mr. Lowell Morris Kiel, 79, passed away on December 9, 2014 at Schneck Medical Center.
Born June 24, 1935 in Jonesville, IN, the son of Walter and Alvina Voss Kiel.
On December 27, 1958 in Seymour, IN he married Marita Terkhorn, who survives. .
Lowell proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He retired as a Process Engineer from Holm Industries in Scottsburg, IN. He enjoyed Cincinnati Reds baseball and woodworking. He was a little league baseball coach for many years and served as Senior President. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Marita; Children: Todd (Janet) Kiel, Lisa (Bruce) Eppley, and Kristi (Kevin) Pruitt; grandchildren: Jamie (Jami) Kiel, Justin Kiel, Laura Jo Kiel, Jordan Kiel, Leigh Kiel, Brett Eppley, Logan Eppley, Paige Eppley, Katie (Shane) Tormoehlen, Ashley Pruitt, and Michael Pruitt; great grandchildren: Charlee Grace Kiel and Bryce Tormoehlen; and brother: Kenneth (Carol) Kiel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law: Ron (Betty) Kiel.
Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Joseph Barlau officiating.
Visitation will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM or on Friday after 9:00 AM at Redeemer until the time of service.
Burial will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Jonesville with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
