Mr. Loyd Hollandbeck, 74 of Paris Crossing, passed away October 31, 2015, Columbus Regional Hospital, very unexpectedly.
Loyd was born in Indianapolis at his 924 Beville Ave, home. He was the son of the late Lester and Margaret Thompson Hollandbeck.
After graduating from Centerville High School, he entered the U.S.Navy from November 1961 to October 1963, when he then enlisted with the U.S. Army Reserve. After serving his country, he went to work and then retired as a maintenance supervisor from Lily.
On January 1, 1961 he married Carol Reece, at the First Christian Church in Bargersville, In., which they are still members.
Loyd is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol, children: Mark and Cyndi Hollandbeck, Denise and Jonathan Hamblin, Rebecca Hahn, Kim and Michael Berner and Thomas Hollandbeck, 11 grandchildren, 2 brothers: Gary and Betty Hollandbeck and Dale and Bev Hollandbeck.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Dawn Hollandbeck.
Funeral service will be at the First Christian Church, 101 East Street, Bargersville on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Ken Rickett officiating. Private burial will follow with full military graveside rites . .
Friends and family may call at the church on Thursday after 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
