Lucretia “Lucy” Haley

April 21, 1927 - February 4, 2016

Mrs. Lucretia “Lucy” Haley, 88, of Seymour passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home.

Born April 21, 1927, in Camby, Indiana, she was the daughter of Jacob and Ella Mae (Curtis) Terrell.

On June 15, 1946, in Seymour, she married John Haley who preceded her in death.

Lucy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was employed with Panasote for 34 years and Wal-Mart for 15 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Cottrill (Fiance Gary Stone), John Haley, Jr.; grandchildren, Rebecca Andres, Christopher Behrman, Jonathan Horton, Timothy Horton, Ethan Haley, and Melissa Gibert; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, David Michael Haley; daughter, Brenda J. Williams; brothers, Phillip, Raymond, and Charlie Terrell; and sisters, Lula Mae Jerrell, Louise Jerrell, and Flossie Terrell.

Graveside service will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather at Voss Chapel on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Memorials may be written to the American Cancer Society.
