Manuel Gabriel Mendez, 2 months 9 days old, of Columbus, went to his heavenly home March 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born December 27, 2013, in Indianapolis, he was the beloved infant son of Salatiel “Sal” and Jodi (Findley) Mendez, Jr. He was a baptized member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Besides his parents he is survived by his maternal grandparents Jerry (Peggy) Findley; paternal grandparents Salatiel (Amalia) Mendez Sr.; his brothers Mateo Salatiel Mendez, Macario Cruz Mendez, Marquez Tomas Mendez, twin brother Marcello Christian Mendez; aunts and uncles Jesus Antonio Mendez, Amalia (Ryan) Richey, Maurilio (Monica) Mendez, Erica Mendez, Jacob (Stacy) Findley, Jonathon (Angela) Findley; cousins Austin Richey, Tyler Richey, Wini Harris, Palik Findley, and Walter Findley.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents Albertha Garza, Antonio Mendez-Rico, Maria De Socorro Sigala, Palmer Ude, Melba Ude Christopher, and Eugene and Betty Findley; and his cousin Luke Findley.
Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Seymour, on Wednesday, March 12, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Andrew Currao officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church from 9:30 AM until time of service.
Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with a Voss Dove release.
