Marvin Lee York, 71, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Friday October 23, 2015, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus.
He was born on January 9, 1944, in Southern Indiana, the son of the late Marion James and Gertrude (Pierce) York.
Marvin married Audrey K. (Ross) York on December 24, 1965, in Seymour, Indiana.
Marvin graduated from Jennings County High School, and he worked as a wood lathe operator. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #665, loved to play the guitar, go to the race track to support the family race teams, fishing and knitting. Marvin was an avid Colts fan, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children; Chris (Kevin) Borgman, Stacy (Brea) York, and Wesley (Sarah) York; seven grandchildren; Chancelyn York, Alexia York, Keggin York, Cole, Morgan and Jordan Brewer, and Lydia Borgman; brothers, Tom (Sue) York, Greg York and Jim York; sister; Ruth (Danny) Jameson, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Audrey K. York, on March 23, 2005; brother, George York, sisters; Brenda, Stella, Shirley, Maryellen and Emmalouise.
Memorial service will be at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Voss Chapel with Rev. Scott Brown officiating. A private burial will take place at a later time
Friends and family may call from 2:00 pm and until time of service on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
