Mrs. Mary H. Rice, 75 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, .
She was born August 10, 1940, in Paris Crossing, Indiana, the daughter of Logan and Bessie (Ross) Robinson.
She was a member of the Mt. Eden Christian Church and was a retired truck driver. She loved to go fast as she loved racing cars and competing with her drag truck. She was married to a great companion, Jerry Rice.
She is survived by her children, Betty Sue (Randy) O’Neill, Philip Earl Walker, Thomas Christopher (Stephanie) Walker and Dana Lee Ann Walker (Michael) Wyatt; grandchildren, Amber and Jeremy Baughman, Jack O’Neill, Shawna Ballou, Maria Sutherland, Lacey and Adam Walker, Cody and Dylan Wyatt, and Justin Danz; 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lenvel “Butch” Robinson and Rodger (Etta) Robinson; and a sister, Patricia Robinson; three step-sons, Anthony, Kevin and Sean Rice.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Matthew Norton, and the father of her children, Lester Earl Walker.
Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 10:00 am with Rev. Chris Criminger officiating. Burial will follow at Vallonia Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm and after 9:00 until time of service.
