Maxine A. Newcomb

Maxine A. Newcomb, 82, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

She was born February 8, 1934, in Jackson County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Albert and Matilda (Hackman) Eggersman.

She married Fred Hollis Newcomb on January 17, 1964.

Maxine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She retired from the Indiana Telephone Corporation after 22 years of service.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Otte Simmons and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters: Mildred Thiele, Wilma Benter, and Geneva Hoene; and two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday September 7, 2016, at Voss Chapel with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch and Rev. James Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, September 6, from 5-7 pm and again on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service.
