Mrs. Mildred Thomas, 88, of Seymour, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Lutheran Community Home.
Born September 23, 1927, in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Vogel) Maschino.
She married John W. Thomas in Florida who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Steinwedels, Pardieck Heating and Air, and Pardieck Implements. She had many hobbies including reading and watching sports. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends at the Lutheran Community Home.
She is survived by her children Michael Thomas and Scott (Brenda) Thomas, grandchildren Clint (Katina) Thomas and Cory Thomas; great-grandchild, Cooper Thomas, brother Marvin Maschino, sisters Loretta Henkle, Ann Hill, brother-in-law Ken Kvaal and sister-in-law, Pat Maschino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Joseph Maschino, Orville Maschino and Tony Maschino, sisters Leona Byrlinski, Helen Thoele, Mary Jean Kvaal, Deloris Maschino, and Dorothy Hess.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Dan Staublin officiating assisted by Deacon Mike East. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church Friday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rosary Service will be conducted Thursday at 3:45 p.m. at Voss Chapel.
Memorials may be written to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church Sauers Building Fund, or Lutheran Community Home.
