Nancy Jane Stickles, 81 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Seymour Crossing.
Born June 22, 1934, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Alva and Alma Henderson Sinclair, both of whom preceded her in death.
On August 2, 1952, Nancy married Richard L. Smiley. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1990. On August 3, 1994, she married Richard “Dick” Stickles, and he survives.
After graduating from Odon High School in 1952, she was employed at RCA Bloomington and at North Daviess High School in food services. Nancy enjoyed traveling, going to country music concerts, watching IU Basketball, and spending time with family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Seymour.
Other survivors include two daughters, Denise Smiley (fiancé Billy Tetrick) and Jonita Adcock; one son, Doug (Dee) Smiley; two step-sons, Rick (Robyn) Stickles and Doug (Julia) Stickles; 12 grandchildren, Molly (Shaun) Tipton, J.J. (Erin) Whitehead, Amber (Heath) Clark, Aaron (Courtney) Bechtel, Emily (Jason) Litz, Robert (Alice) Smiley, Ledger Stickles, David Stickles, Eric Stickles, Braden Pranger, Brendan Pranger, and Brooke Pranger; and 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Don Sinclair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and two brothers, Morris and Max Sinclair.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at First United Methodist Church after 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
