Nita Ruth Sage, age 59, of Seymour, passed away while visiting her family in Gun Barrel City, TX on January 10, 2024. She was born in Seymour on March 15, 1964, to Melvin “Spencer” Sage and Sandra Beck Ward. She was a 1982 graduate of Crothersville High School.
Nita had a heart of gold and was known for her free-spirited, affectionate nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kaitlyn Silvers and Brandi Connell, her brothers, Joe Sage and Billy Hall, her mother Sandy Ward, and her fiancé, Chris Eldridge. She was preceded in death by her father, Spencer Sage.
Any given day, she could be found tending her garden and her pets. She always found joy in helping others and was considered everyone’s “Aunt” Nita.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 1:00PM at Voss and Sons Funeral Service. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service. Burial will be private.
