Mr. Pierce “Pete” Clement Moss, Jr., 82, of Seymour, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014.
He was born on July 4, 1932 in Spartanburg, SC, the son of Pierce Clement Moss, Sr. and Ollie Mae (Montjoy) Moss.
On December 27, 1952 in Seymour, he married Martha Kay Emily.
Pete served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Cummins Engine Company as a technician on December 1, 1988. Pete was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved fishing, camping, boating, woodworking, working in his garden and working on anything technical. Pete also enjoyed watching racing.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha; children: Pierce “Pete” Clement (Pamela) Moss III, Jaynie Kay (Sonny) McKain, Gloria Lee (David) Wright, Barbara Ann Moss (Bob Gillenwater); grandchildren: Pierce “Pete”(Margaret) Moss IV, Patrick (Trish) Moss, Jesse Jo Fosbrink, Brooke Allison Campbell, Brianna Alyse Ervin, Fallon Dallas Horton; 12 great grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Della Bridges, Sylvia Martha Anderson and a very special niece Susan Bridges Moore.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson: J.D. Fosbrink.
Private funeral services will be conducted at Voss Chapel, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
