Ritchey Lee Clark, 56 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016, at his home in Seymour.
He was born May 27, 1960, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Ronald and Shirley (Mellencamp) Clark.
He married Karen Leigh Baurle in November of 1992, and she survives.
Ritchey graduated from Seymour High School where he was the South Central Conference Champion for the wrestling team and then attended Olivet Nazarene University. He was a postal carrier for over 25 years until his retirement in 2011. After his retirement, he enjoyed refurbishing furniture with his wife and son. Ritchey was a talented musician and enjoyed gardening and hunting arrowheads. He was a gentle soul who had a great love for nature, friends, family and the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, parents, children: Levi (Abigail) Clark, Seth Clark, Brandon (Anna Tharp) Clark and Keelyn Clark; two grandchildren: Emmitt and Hoak Clark; his brother, Bobby (Karen) Clark, three sisters: Jan Clark, Joyce (Daniel) Mason and Kelly Clark, his father and mother-in-law, Louis and Mary Ann Baurle, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles: Jay Mellencamp, Joe and Rose Mellencamp and Mary “Toots” Cowles; and his grandparents, Harry and Laura Mellencamp.
Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 10:30 am with Rev. Rick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday after 9:00 am until time of service.
