Robert J. “Bob” Werskey

June 27, 1952 - February 5, 2016

Robert J. “Bob” Werskey, 63 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center.

He was born June 27, 1952, in Medina, Ohio, the son of Richard E. “Dick” and Betty Jean (Mattick) Werskey.

Bob was a very skilled and talented artist who loved doing anything creative. He graduated from Heron Art School in Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree, which is associated with Indiana University. Some of his hobbies were photography, painting, drawing and spending time with his niece and nephews. He was a great listener for all of his family and friends. He worked in the family masonry business for many years but still managed to let his artistic side show in his work.

He is survived by his brother, James (Christine) Werskey, sister, Patricia (Mark) Goble, nephews: Alan and Eric Werskey, and Brian Goble; a niece, Jennifer Goble (Steve) Fox, and a great-niece, Avery Fox.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel from 11:00 am until time of service.

Patty and Jim, Bob was a man sincere to life. He battled many years through damage to his body, but still succeeded living life to it's fullest. He is free at last of the pain he endured. It was a pleasure to know Bob and see the beauty of your family.
