Robin Joe “Rob” Smith

Robin Joe “Rob” Smith, 60 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at his home early Thursday, November 12, 2015.

He was born October 29, 1955, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Hartwell and Sarah Louise Miller Smith.

He married Nancy Lorraine Hall on March 31, 1986, and she survives.

Rob worked as a Concrete Finisher for the Union for many years. He loved being outdoors fishing and hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, his children, Jackie (Melissa) Clifton, Betty Wilson, Dustin Adkins, Heather Keller, Brandon Keller, Laura Emmons, Tracie Emmons, and Brandy Smith; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Carla Sciarra, Treva Brittian, and Tammy (Dewayne) Brittian.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Candace Smith.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Reddington Christian Church with Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Friends and family may call at the church after 1:00 pm until time of service.

After Memorial Service, friends and family are invited to gather at Rob and Nancy’s house.

I remember our summers spent swimming and diving at the old Seymour pool back in the 60's and how you always had this air of confidence about you when you dove from the 1 and 3 meter boards. Rest in peace my friend.

Ran around with Rob from the 7th grade through high school. We spent one entire summer with us out at the farm by Hayden You will be missed my friend
