Roger Allen Huffman, 63 of Columbus, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015, at IU Med Center in Indianapolis.
He was born June 25, 1952, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Mildred “Mickey” Lain Huffman.
He married Pam Moorman on April 15, 2006, in Seymour, Indiana, and she survives.
Roger was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers. He was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Columbus High School then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology from Indiana State University. He worked at Cummins for 38 years until his retirement in 2014. His greatest joys in life were helping with the family farm and spending as much time as he could cherishing his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, children, Brent (Sherri) Huffman and Suzan (Brady) Lofton; two step-sons, Brian and Matt Kendall; four grandchildren, Kaytlin and Wyatt Huffman, and Bailey and Royce Lofton; a step-granddaughter, Lyndsay (Jake) Love; four great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Wyatt, Kevin, and Paris; his brother, Tim (Wanda) Huffman; sisters, Marilyn (Warren) Hinton and Sandy Huffman; three sisters-in-law, Terry (Mike) Searcy, Natalie (Doug) Fish, and Judy Burke; his mother-in-law, Betty Moorman, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Arthur “Art” Moorman.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October13, 2015, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, with Rev. Steven Wood officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Borchers.
Friends and family may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
