Roger was a man of knowledge and integrity. Roger assisted me on many wood floor projects and was always the "go to guy". If he couldnt fix it or provide knowlege about it, nobody could. I sat at the townhouse many a meal discussing lifes problems and solutions, while waiting patiently in his truck was his loyal dog, waiting for his doggy bag. I will miss him dearly, and am proud that i got to know him and proud that he was my friend.

Uncle Roger was the best. The one story I love to tell about him is when I was about 3 or so. I was the oldest niece and his only one at the time. We were at my grandparents farm the family altogether visiting. Uncle Roger took (what I like to think) his favorite 3 year old niece to check out the farm. I wanted to ride grandpa’s tractor. He put me in the seat. It wouldn’t start and I asked why. The key was there, because it just wouldn’t start. Uncle Roger told me the secret to start the tractor…I bet you want to know what this girl learned…to start a tractor at 3 you have to look up in the sky and it will start. It goes off when you look away from the sky. We did that several times. To all my cousins I wish you all peace and happiness in those fond memories of Uncle Roger.
