Mr. Scott Allen Carr, 51 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at his home.
He was born April 21, 1964, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Eddie and Caroline S. Sterling Carr both of whom survive.
He married Misty Marie Halbert on April 21, 2012, in Seymour, and she survives.
Scott was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated from Seymour High School then went to work as a Brick Mason with Broady & Campbell Company in Indianapolis for 30 years. He was a member of the Bricklayer’s Union Local 3 and 4, the International Union of Bricklayers, and Allied Craftworkers Local 25 in Indiana. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Fraternal Order of Eagles all of Seymour. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and working with his friend, Scott Broady, on Saturdays.
He is survived by his wife, his parents, his children, Samantha (Travis Hineman, fiancé) Carr, Sidney Carr, Makenzi Hensley, and Kaegan Hensley; two grandchildren, Madalynn Wampner and Daulton Hineman; his brother, Tim Carr, his sister, Shawn (Todd) Poynter, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Stuckwisch officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. and Monday after 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
