Mrs. Shirley Ann Miller, 83, of Seymour, passed away at her home on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:10 p.m., surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 29, 1930, in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Minnie (Day) Disney.
On June 11, 1949, she married her sweetheart Robert Eugene Miller who preceded her in death September 21, 2009.
Shirley was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She also found great enjoyment in painting pictures. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Linda L. (Sam) Sutton- Spaulding, Peggy A. (Robert “Nub”) Mellencamp; grandchildren Rhonda (Steve) Wetzel, Rhoda (Carl) Sprague, Michael (Rhonda) Mellencamp, Marshall (Daphne) Mellencamp, Carrie Sutton, Travis (Amy) Mellencamp; great grandchildren Jessica Wetzel, Shawn, Amber and Justin Sprague, Anna Lee Hill and Jeanna Hill Grayson, Ryan, Courtney and Emma Mellencamp, Cameron Nguyen, Tyler and Chance Mellencamp, step great granddaughters Brandy (Greg) Kowis, Jamie Rameriz, step great great grandchildren Brett Kowis, Andy, Brandon, Brennan and Kamehameha Rameriz, and; sisters Nancy (Charles) Pifer, Lois Disney and brother Jim E. Disney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years; brother Ralph Disney and great grandson Robbie Fugett
Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 5th, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Andrew Currao officiating.
Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Tuesday, March 4th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wednesday after 9:30 a.m., until time of service.
