Steve was a member of many clubs, K of C where he was a fourth degree knight, Eagles, and the Moose Club. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He loved fishing, camping, and old cars, especially a 1974 Ford Van. He enjoyed working on his farm and vegetable garden and always kept it in pristine condition. He also enjoyed chopping wood and even built his own wood splitter. After his struggles with addiction, he volunteered and became a sponsor for many through AA and NA in hope they would overcome their addictions as well. He volunteered at Provisions and was always willing to help people in need. He was generous with his time and talents and gave tomatoes to everyone. Back in the day he was considered to be a very gifted drummer and played in several bands and also played at his own wedding reception. Most of all he loved his family, especially his nephews.
Visitation will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday March 12, 2023, from 1pm until the time of service at 5pm, with Deacon Mike East officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to St. Ambrose Church, SOS (Saints On Our Side), or Jackson County Humane Society.
