Mrs. Susan Rae Willis, 70 of Seymour passed away November 2, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Nortons Women’s and Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, with her family by her side.
Susan was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Scott.
She was a homemaker most of her life and was devoted to her family and recently enjoyed being a sub for the Central Christian Church Day Care. She attended Central Christian Church. She loved to paint, cut grass, go to movies, and visit with family and friends.
Susan had a great love for music and being social with everyone. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She would always be there to support her grandchildren, niece and nephews in all their activities.
She married Bill Willis, July 6, 1968.
She is survived by Bill Willis, daughters: Sandy and Steve Koester, Kelly and Gary Stout, grandchildren: Chandler, Chase, and Kaylyn Koester, and Madison Cowins, brother: David Scott, sisters: Donna Moore, Alene Haynes and Kathy Scott, several nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Fred, Bob, and Bill Scott, and sister: Barbara Scott.
Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Kit Bogan officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday after 9 a.m. until time of service.
