Thomas A. “Tom” Baldus, 67, of Seymour, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.
Tom was born October 8, 1947, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Joseph and Marie Koers Baldus.
He married Carol on April 27, 1998, in Lawrence, Indiana, and she survives.
After serving in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, Tom then went to college and earned his degree in Nursing Home Administration. He then became the administrator of two nursing homes one being in Greensburg and the other in Monticello. After that, he went to work at East Gate Postal Service in Indianapolis, Indiana, until his retirement. He loved gardening and enjoying time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife, their children, Marc (Amie) Baldus, Carrie (Steve) Fuchs, Megan Baldus, and a stepson, Robert Sears; 2 grandchildren, Ty Stuehrenberg and Kamdin Tallent; 2 sisters, Marie (Louis) Coy, and Bernie Rollison; his mother-in-law, Mary Anna Kellams, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Baldus.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Voss Chapel, with Father Dan Staublin officiating.
Friends may call after 12:00 p.m. until time of service. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel.
Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Four Corners.

Full Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. post 1925, American Legion post 89, DAV, Korean and Vietnam Veteran’s all of Seymour.
