Mr. Tony Lynn Voss, 62, of Taylorsville, formerly of Brownstown, passed away October 15, 2014 at his home very unexpectedly. He was born in Seymour, IN, on October 5, 1952 to the late Hurshel and Sadie (Shipley) Voss.
Tony was a member of Gorbetts Chapel Church. He graduated from Brownstown Central in 1970 and began working at Valeo and retired from there after 30 years of service.
Tony was a Gospel singer for at least 30 years, he sang with the Patriots, A New Creation, Destiny and Healing Waters. He was a real cool guy who was full of joy and loved to laugh. Tony was lovable, selfless and soft hearted.
He will be greatly missed by his children; Charity L. (Moe) Zaouak, Heather J. Siscoe and Jolie M. Voss, brothers; Lanny Voss, Bradley Voss, Darrell Voss and Kevin Voss, sister; Susie Perkins, grandchildren; Eli, Ceairra, Haley, Makeen, Eliyaas, Jennah, Soorayah, Ian, Maecee and Roy Jr.; and many other extended family members and dear friends. He will be greeted in Heaven by his parents, and a brother, Richard Voss.
A service honoring Tony will be held at Voss Chapel on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3PM with Rev. Hershel Axsom officiating. The family will receive friends at Voss Chapel on Saturday, October 18 from 1PM to 5PM and on Sunday after 2PM until time of service. Burial will be at Whites Chapel.
