Waldyier Lee Nowling, 81, of Seymour, IN passed away on January 5, 2024, at Our Hospice in Columbus, IN after a long illness. Lee was born on January 21, 1942, in Brownstown, IN to Nelson and Irene (Gutherie) Nowling. He was a graduate of Brownstown High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Lee married his wife, Sondra Imlay on January 21, 1967, she survives. He retired from Rockwell International, and was a devoted family man. Lee also loved going to the beach.

In addition to Sondra, Lee is survived by his children: Robert Hochstetler, Teresa (Denny) Hodge, Fay (Jim) Renaker and Tracey Emily; brother, Ricky Nowling; sister, April (Jim) Mobley; eight grandchildren: Ashley, Jennifer, Janice, Hilary, Emma, Heather, Tiffany and Nathan; seventeen great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Elaine Gorski, brothers: David and Danny, and sister, Dee.

Funeral services for Lee will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut St., Seymour. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
